Dancefloors that have been without a Daft Knowing You - The Zombies - The Zombies 1-2 record for the past three years should welcome Junior Jack 's debut, an album that shares the Punk 's love of booming groove.

Daft Punk is a decent comparison for Junior Jack 's low end, but when it comes to lyrics and Alone - Junior Jack - Trust It he's more straightforward, less spacy, and more Armand Van Helden. Junior Jack 's beats are nothing new, but rock-solid enough to keep the nearly innovation-free album in the CD player. Surrounding "Da Hype" with the proven floor-fillers "Stupidisco," "E Samba," and "Thrill Me" means Trust It could be one of the few albums to suffer from too many singles.

Plenty of interludes and a couple quirky tracks help deepen the album for the headphones, the jazzy "Alone" being the highlight. That track makes you hungry for more of this emotional Junior Jackbut when he starts dealing in heavy house music again, it's easy to forgive the slick album's shortcomings. More dance artists could stand to suffer from this "too many monstrous anthems" problem.

It's got a good beat and you can dance to it -- what more do you want? AllMusic relies heavily on JavaScript. Please enable JavaScript in your browser to use the site fully. Blues Classical Country. Electronic Folk International. Jazz Latin New Age. Aggressive Bittersweet Druggy.

  3. Jan 18,  · The title track, 'Trust It' is not bad, with the voice of MC Shurakano found on some singles by Kid Creme (Vicente's protege). It seems 'Alone' borrow a bit of the flavor of 'People (Jeno's Stormy Weather Mix)' by Rocket (), but still nice to hear. Musically, 'Trust It' fits in all the parameters of dance music and is enjoyable on every level/5().
  4. Jul 19,  · Junior Jack's album debut Trust It is more a collection of good dance records than the fluffy mess of electronic music that often results from the pressure to show a supposedly more creative side. Ignoring the contrived intro and skits, if you like the big funky house of "Thrill Me" or "E Samba," the majority of this album will delight.4/4(7).
  5. "Da Hype" based on a recreated sample of "I'm So Hot For You" originally performed by Bobby Orlando. "Stupidisco" based on a recreated sample of "Dare Me" originally performed by Pointer Sisters. "E Samba" based on a recreated sample of "Essa Nega Sem Sandalia" originally performed by Joao & 4/5(49).
  6. With Junior Jack already having several great tracks loaded in the chamber, and most of which are all featured within the first 20 minutes of the disc, I decided to take the dive. Trust It wastes no time in getting down to business, and after a short intro, you're right in the middle of the album's title track, Trust It.4/5(7).
